Organization

The 14-th Conference on Fuzzy Set Theory and Applications FSTA 2018 will take place under the auspices of the Department of Mathematics and Descriptive Geometry of Faculty of Civil Engineering of Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, the Armed Forces Academy of General Milan Rastislav Štefánik in Liptovský Mikuláš and the Working Group for Fuzzy Set Theory and Applications of the Slovak Mathematical and Physical Association, in co-operation with EUSFLAT working group AGOP and SIPKES s.r.o.

Language

The official language will be English. Simultaneous interpretation will not be available.

Scientific program parts

Venue

Lectures and sessions will take place at the Hotel SOREA MÁJ in Liptovský Ján. The opening ceremony will begin on Monday morning, January 29, 2018 at 9 a.m. The conference is expected to end on Friday noon, February 2, 2018.

Social and cultural events

The Organizing Committee will prepare an excursion, a concert and a reception for the participants and accompanying persons. The region of Liptovský Ján is a starting point for visiting different parts of the central Slovakia. There are several possibilities to go for individual trips to the High or Low Tatras. The hotel swimming pool with thermal water and fitness centre will be open (and free of charge) for all conference participants and accompanying persons.

Visa information for participants from non-EU countries

The Organizing committee will NOT provide participants with an invitation letter on the official form of the alien police for the EU visa purposes. Furthermore, due to the storno fees we cannot risk any no-shows on the conference due to visa reasons. Therefore, ALL PARTICIPANTS FROM COUNTRIES WITH VISA OBLIGATION will be asked to send us a copy of their visa in order to make the registration valid! THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTION FROM THIS RULE!!!

We ask the registered participants from non-EU countries with a visa obligation to take this limitation into account seriously!
